v3 question-answered

i just got my used my v3 in the mail today...
well when i wired it up and connected it to the battery, nothing. :o
i double check my polarity before trying to power up the unit.
is there a fuse inside that might be blown? ???
i looked through the manual, but didnt see anything.
any help would be grateful

if it's what I think it is it's nothing to worry about.  this is very common and happened to many of us.  the connection in the back (where the power/battery cable is).  there are little "pins" in there.  many times they somehow get too close together and will not power.  take a very small flat head screw driver or a pocket knife and very carefully pri them apart just a hair.

the pins seem to be far enough apart. i would think and, they arent even touching.
any other ideas?

no problem.  I freaked out as well when it happened to me.  I could jiggle the cable and get power but it wouldn't hold.

I slipped a tiny wedge of rubber between the "forks". It was just enough that when I tighten the connector down, you can feel the rubber being slightly compressed between the two forks. My ASSumption is that the rubber will force the "forks" into the sides of the connector cable (?).
At any rate, its worked great since I did that.
