Clamps?
« on: September 08, 2004, 06:45:18 PM »
I'm in the market for a good clamp that is ideally spring based, that is really strong. All I really need it for is to run a bar, mounts and mics from a mic stand hung from a ceiling. I can use some of the stuff that is mounted on the ceiling to take the strain off of the cables and clamp.

I have looked around and this seems to be the best I have found so far....

any places I should look in to for some other options?

I have not seen the pdf, but I bet it is the "A" clamp with a podium mount bolted to it.

I've made two of these and they are great for large pipes and railings. I've even clamped to the top of divider walls around sbd areas. Opens to about 4 inches.

hmmmm,..... killed by p0rn?? ???
I didn't look, I just grabbed the link.

I think I still have it here in a folder somewhere.

summary,...

Spring clamp similar to what is shown. purchased from home depot, and modified to hold mics.
Let me see what I can do to repost it.

hmm...404 is poop!

Any help you have is appreciated!

And FWIW, the mics are small diaphragm types so the weight isn't a HUGE issue.

It's also the critical time to do this because the older recordings are really deteriorating.
