Title: left right balance of a recording

looking for suggestions  on how to fix left right balance of a recording using cool edit pro....or another shareware program

You just raise the volume of the channel you think is low, or lower the vol;ume of the channel you think is high.  In CoolEdit2000 I go to transform > channel mixer   and that has a volume slider for each channel.  In almost any editor I would guess that "transform" would be a good starting point.  And then there is always the dreaded manual.    :P
