You did a sweet job.  My wife wants me to make a room downstairs, and that is exactly what I'd shoot for.  I like the sprayed ceiling--a friend of mine did that and I love it.

NICE!!!  I know nothing about projectors.  I suppose I need to see a good one in action.

Frank: yes, I sure wish I didn't have 600 lbs of crap between my speakers, too.  I lose some soundstage depth because of it:

The sprayed ceiling was an absolute mess to do, but the cost was only $150!  Much less than sheetrock and drop tiles.  Don't lose the height either.

Does the couch affect the sound much with the end being so close to the drivers?  Nice tubes!  I dig those speakers!

The drivers are very high on that speaker, those grilles are pretty much for show :)  I moved the speaker within a fraction of an inch of the couch and I don't find it mucks up the sound too much, but then again those ProAc's are toed in heavily as you can see.  The room used to be setup with the couch where the photo was taken (listening spot) and the current listening chair on the left where the couch is (but obviously not as close to the speaker) and I didn't notice any appreciable changes with the furniture move.  Not ideal, for sure, but whaddya do in a domestic household!

Now the coffee table (you can just see the edge on the right) DOES muck up the sound bigtime.  I move it out when I listen.  Part of the routine :)

I looooooooooooooove tubez.  Wish you could see the pre tubes, too.

Notice the well-placed dog.  He absorbs first reflection.  LOL

I've been throwing a heavy blanket over our coffee table when I listen...

I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

I did that for a long while...  But one day I moved it and man oh man, look what I was missing.
