WTRP/Benz Ruby
« on: January 20, 2014, 11:13:24 PM »
So here is my WTRP with the Peter Leidermann ruby cantilever. I use it with an AcousTech PH1 made by Ron Southerland and it blows away any digital front end I've heard. I was just comparing an SACD of steely Dan and it was no contest.

I thought I would post this because I have often referenced it when I have compared other tables.

Judging from your gear, I have no doubt that it blows away SACD, and probably most other things shy of mastertape.

I'd love to get a Ruby at some point.  I have an HW-19 Mk. IV with SAMA, Graham 2.2 and I have a feeling that would be a very synergistic combo.

Nice to see a WTRP out there.  That was on my short-list when I was an analog maniac.  ;D

Peter and Soundsmith do great work. It is worth seeking him out to do work on your cartridge.

There's got to be some sort of black magic involved in making those arms. Freaks me out every time I see one.

The platter bearing is pure genius, too.
