Title: SH-LAV-CLIP from Sound Professionals?
Post by: OrionMan on September 19, 2021, 03:25:52 PM
Are these metal or plastic mic clips?  If metal, do they set off metal detectors and wands?
These are the ones that come with their SP-CMC-4U mics.

Taping without permission will necessitate that a detector or wand WILL GO OFF.
wands and walk throughs vary in sensitivity.  But there is no venue rule against a small clip.  no security would even question such a small object.
if you arent comfortable with a detector going off this ISNT THE HOBBY FOR YOU.
Its all in how you handle the detector going off.

No one is yelling at you.  THIS IS YELLING AT YOU, lol.

He just gave some really good info.  And... your worried about a clip?  Seriously?  You think a bobby pin sets off detectors?
No such thing as a bad question, though.
That's true.
But if you are worried about a clip, you have to be sweating balls about your deck.
He is telling you that equipment is half the battle.  Audibles and attitudes are the keys.
