Specific questions re: DR-40 vs. DR-100mkII
« on: August 29, 2012, 10:43:31 AM »
I need a P48 all-in-one that I can connect to some mics, leave in the venue for 6hrs, and come back.  I assume that it'll be connected via wall wart, so battery life is not an issue for this purpose.

For my purposes, it appears the DR-40 and DR-100mkII are pretty similar except the DR-100mkII has a (finicky) digi-in, and the DR-40 does not.  The DR-100mkII has the (finicky) "dual battery" system and the DR-40 does not.  The DR-40 claims 15hr batt life on 3xAA, which I assume is more like 3hrs with P48.

It seems to me that the DR-40 is the better choice for what I'm doing, unless I'm missing some advantage the DR-100mkII has.

Thoughts?
