Powerbank instead of 9V Battery to supply BatteryBox
« on: February 07, 2018, 01:38:30 AM »
Hi all,

here in germany it is hard due security reasons to get our stuff into the halls.
Especially Batteryboxes with a 9V batterys will be not let in.

So I wonder if there is a chance to supply (in this case church audio CA11/14) these microphones via a powerbank.

I tried to solder an usb cable to 9vbatterieclipcable, but got distortion sounds. Did not work out :(

Any ideas?

Look for a Marantz pmd620 recorder which has 5volts plug in power, you should be good most likely with just mics and marantz ....no battery box needed.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but this is what I'm looking into. Its generally expected people will have power banks so wont look out of please (less to conceal) Is it possible to use a USB connected to a powerbank and does this product already exist as it - The ugly battery pack on CA is currently out of stock
