Powering a Beyer MV-100? Best battery?
« on: November 20, 2019, 03:48:20 AM »
I just got a Beyer MV100 preamp.

What options would I have to power this thing? Any experience?
Tried some Nimh 200 mah rechargeable which gave me 2 hours with Milab VM44 Links but only 30min on modded Nakamichi Cm300 (modded for 48v).

In terms of rechargeable 9v batteries, I like these. i am sure there are some with higher mAh ratings but I have had good experiences with these 600mAh babies:

Always ran alkaline and got 5 hours from my Neumann KM140s. Never got creative or brave enough to try rechargeables or external powering options.
I posted the manual -if you want to discuss that in particular, here's the thread:

Thanks guys,

I found some good rechargeable batteries. Not fully tested yet, but they gave me 2,5 hours at a gig (and still running) with Milab VM44 Links + Sony A10.
