Another iZotope question, cassette mechanical noise
« on: July 12, 2022, 12:04:33 AM »
I have been using iZotope Rx for years on my recordings, manually handling the usual noises, and doing automated file processing for occasional LP digitalizations where periodic de-click can cut out scratches, but I am working on something now that ought to be automated, was wondering if anyone can point me to the solution.  I am digitizing some 35 year-old cassette tapes for a friend, one side seems to have cassette mechanical squeeks baked in (on one side of a 180 minute cassette but not the other).  They occur every 1.5 seconds (roughly) and are way too wide for de-click, I could attenuate them out individually if there weren't several thousand on the tape!  Can't locate anything in the Help function.  Anyone have ideas?
