Looking for an unusual cable or the right parts
« on: April 10, 2005, 01:51:36 PM »
Wondering if anyone's seen anything like this. I want a right angle 3.5 mm stereo to dual RCA, which I know isn't unusual, but I want a short one and what would be the best for my needs would be coiled cable.
I could probably get the connectors pretty easily, but I haven't been able to find much int he way of coiled cable besides the occasional headphone extension and they are like 25 a Feet and I'm looking for someting like one foot.

It's to hook up my Creative Zen to a new Alpine head unit (in the car). I have the adaptor that goes form the head to dual RCAs and currently have a cheesy RCA to miniplug cable I don't like all that much. I'm trying to find a really clean way to do it and I think the short coiled cable and right angle plug would be pretty nice.
It doesn't need to be super-audiophile, but I don't want crappy molded connectors either.

Any ideas?

if you go down the street to ed, he could make you the exact length you need

Yeah, I'll probably just go find Ed. Although now that it's off season everyone disappears for a while.
I figure the coiled part is going to be the hardest to come by, but would make it nice and retractable.

Thakns everyone!
