Canare Mini Star-Quad? aka L-4E5C

OD is 4.8mm vs. Canare Star-Quad (L-4E6S) at 6.0mm.

Thanks Jason, I guess I should have assumed that the regular star-quad would have been too big.  I also want to make a 5-pin XLR extension cable.  Any cable recommendations?  I guess I could use the regular star-quad without connecting pairs, but this would leave me asking why I need to tie pairs for a short run if I am using single wires on a long run........

Both of those are pretty thick for one connector, pretty sure you couldn't stuff 2 of the mini-quads in there.  I would recommend something like the Belden 1804a I have or something around .115 in diameter or 26-28 gague.

Two mini star-quads will fit.  You may have to cut a bit of the plastic from that triangular insert thingy to make room, but it'll work nicely.  The Belden is probably better cable overall but I've never directly compared them.
