I've been doing a bit of DVD authoring with DVD Architect and have noticed that when I finally go to the "make DVD" option to prepare the files for burning, I always get a "audio track will be recompressed" message.
The video file has been prepared with Vegas and is a PAL-DVD compliant MPEG-2 with PCM audio. The audio I've been using is 48k/16bit and I've selected PCM as the audio output format so I don't really understand what recompression will be going on.
Has anyone any ideas?
FWIW, the audio on the finished DVDs always sounds fine (through my TV's speakers) but I'm curious as to what's going on all the same.
