Post by: wordgroove on December 28, 2023, 09:59:03 PM

Last time I did batteries for the CM300 I used two 6V dog collar batteries end to end with several turns of electrical tape holding them together. The original batteries for these were 9V but they run just fine on 12V.

IIRC they were Duracell 28a I got at the drugstore but the ones labelled 4LR44 will work too.

Someone here made a 3D printed collar to make the two 6V sit in the cradle better but who that was escapes me right now.

Lol dog collar batteries as noted above. I've had no issue taping them together with electrical tape and throwing them in there too, you can thicken them up with the tape for a snugger fit. Love the Naks and all their clones.

https://www.amazon.com/10-Energizer-4LR44-Volt-Batteries/dp/B01G44S5D4/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2CTQA4Y5Z0ICM&keywords=4lr44+battery&qid=1703974197&s=electronics&sprefix=4lr44+batter%2Celectronics%2C290&sr=1-10 (https://www.amazon.com/10-Energizer-4LR44-Volt-Batteries/dp/B01G44S5D4/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2CTQA4Y5Z0ICM&keywords=4lr44+battery&qid=1703974197&s=electronics&sprefix=4lr44+batter%2Celectronics%2C290&sr=1-10)

You can get 10 energizers on amazon for $23.
You can get them at just about any place that has an end cap display that sells batteries like a grocery or drug store. IIRC the Duracell 28a were expensive at 7-8$ a piece.
