I was wondeirng if anyone has "field tested" the Impact BPD-8000 Universal Portable Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery Pack as a remote pwer source for the Edirol UA-5.

I am about to make a decision on some rechargeable batts. and this one looks like a good deal.

I was hoping so...having issues with my ol' rc batts...now if all the plugs will work with the UA-5 striaght out of the box

That is a easy fix w/ a ratshack "M" plug and if you wanted you could run your NJB3 also w/ a volt regulator and a "b" plug and you still would get about 8 hours of battery life. I attached plans to build a easy volt regulator that cost about $12 to build from ratshack.
