Title: Schoeps CCM 5 connectors
Post by: Duncan on November 02, 2019, 07:13:20 AM
Hi
Can anyone tell me what the connectors are for my magnificent Schoeps CC5s and where in Europe (UK) I can get them?
I want to make some cables
Thanks
Duncan

I would assume that you have the CCM 5 L and that they have a Lemo connector at the microphone end...  and full size XLR at the other end.
CCM 5 only comes in the Lemo version.

But the different versions of the CCM series are:
I'm using CCM 4 as an example since the CCM 5 only comes in the "L" version.

CCM 4 U = fixed (hard wired at microphone end)
CCM 4 L = Lemo (detachable at microphone end)

Yes I've got the CCM5 with the connectors that detach from the body of the mic

It's that little connector that I want a couple of. I found on the web that it seems to be called Schoeps Lemo Connector (unsurprisingly) but I can't find where in the UK I could get them.
That said I found them on a site in the US for a ridiculous £35 each!

If they are they much I will think again because that is extortionate

If they don't have it in stock, it's probably still worth asking, if they could get them. Some other options would be Pinknoise (in the UK) or Kortwich (in Germany) who build custom cables.
