So I’ve had a low end rumbling (sounds kinda like light thunder) coming from one of my mics. I know it’s something wrong in the body since I’ve switched out caps and run with different recorders with the same issue. Any idea what this could be and if it’s worth fixing?

Weird. It sounds like wind but when I played it back with my sub cranked it was still mostly coming out of my monitors which only go down to 72 hz and then not with much response. If you have isolated it to the mic preamp (the body) try the cheapest and easiest things first - try cleaning all the contacts with Deoxit including the switches - the C4 has switches for pad and low cut, right? While you are at it do the contacts on your XLR cables too. Couldn't hurt.
I once had a mic that the capsule contact pin had tarnished with age and wasn't conducting correctly - which I remedied with careful polishing with high grit sand paper VERY carefully - but it didn't sound like this more static-ey.
