Energizer Lithium AA Batteries (used with Tascam DR-100)
« on: April 05, 2011, 03:33:15 PM »
The Tascam DR-100 gets pretty crappy battery life.  a regular pair of batteries will get you 20 min. with phantom power.  the rechargable battery gets about 90min. fully charged. maybe a little bit more.

I used 2 of the energizer lithium batteries at the Fox the other night and recorded for 2 hrs without one bar from the battery/power light missing.

They are $10 for 4 at publix.  maybe you can find them cheaper.

GREAT backup's for the DR-100.

The discharge curve of lithium batteries is such that they maintain their peak voltage until just before they die. You'll see full bars for 90% of their life, then all bars will go practically at once.

I have had good luck with these batteries:

You can buy lithium batteries in bulk off eBay for a reasonable price.

My M1 is still chuggin' along and I've even got the wristwatch remote for it, so I can monitor levels while it is in the bag.  Otherwise I'd have one too....

If I sell my 722, I'll be buying another M10 as well, for some 4-channel action ;D

Apples and oranges..
The M10 doesn't get even 20 minutes if you need phantom power from it.  ;)

Tell me more about this remote.  I've never seen one.

after what I went thru on my 680... TEAC can SUCK IT!
I'm sure SONY customer service is probably lacking as well
but for now, they're making a product I'm happy with

but that's another thread, sorry!
