Sweet Vintage Infinity Preamp?

I was told today that Infinity made a preamp in the 80' and that it was/is "one of the best"?  I have tried my hardest to find info on this unit with no luck.  I trust this old man's judgment iut not sure if he is mixed up on this one.  Any insight?
