Bag modification?
« on: January 12, 2004, 01:56:22 PM »
Does anyone know of a type of place that would be able to put zippers in the bottoms of two sections of a bag I have? They'd have to be pretty strong zippers, like luggage type, and sewn in really well, since when I'm carrying the bag, there'd be about 30 pounds in there.

I have a bag that is perfect for me to run my ULN-2 and laptop in, but it's sized/shaped so that the only way to get cables in would be through the bottom. I don't even think there'd be enough room for right-angles.
Out of the game … for now?

I know there's a place near me that sells and repairs luggage - I bet a there's a similar joint local to you that could do it.  Maybe even a local tailor could do it for you.

If you can't find a tailor, call a backwoods outfitter.  They usually know/have someone who repairs backpacks and camping gear.  That person will have the machine to sew through heavy material.

try your local alterations shop, this might qualify as a tailor but not really the same.
