DAT Storage idea
« on: March 20, 2004, 04:10:03 PM »
It would be cool to have a few of these if you had the room.  Don't know the exact dimensions but each drawer is about the size of a small index card(width-height vise) and deep enough for probably 45-50 dats.

Gotta keep an eye out for these, would look real nice if the dats fit.

You can also get the "Peach Crate" style cassette racks, and remove the vertical slats, leaving every fourth one.  DATS fit in sideways.  Buddy of mine had a carpenter friend make him a dresser sized chest, using these as drawers, pull knobs mounted on front.  About 5 foot high, housed about 10 drawers and his entire DAT and cassette collection.

Llibrary file idea is great !
My legal librarian friend is totally hooked up with librarian societies.
I'm going to ask her for links and directories for other local sales.

You could refinish these are make a really nice piece of furniture.  Wonder if they're "stackable" ...
