Archive.org notifications
« on: January 16, 2013, 08:16:20 AM »
I didn't want to ask this in the archive technical issues/problems thread, as it is just a simple question.

Is it possible to get email notifications from archive.org about shows posted/added to bands you're interested in? It would be handy to know when new shows are uploaded to bands you listen to, without having to go and check each individual page from time to time.

Anyone know how this can be done, or is it not possible?

I don't believe it's possible, no. However, each band collection has an RSS feed, so you could theoretically use an RSS-to-email service like blogtrottr.com to notify you when the RSS feed is updated.

Not familiar with blogtrottr.com but I use https://ifttt.com/

It writes me a google chat on my phone when there's a new blog post on a few blogs I follow. You could setup rss feed use this to send a text. ifttt.com is cool but some things are pretty redundant imo.

Or you could just do it the old fashioned way, and scan the first page of this list every day or two
