Strange, i just saw a European site with different times. (much lower)

This still is not the greatest but, 188minutes can do the job (sure, its not 24bit but...), compared to the rest of the shite.

+t for finding it, but it looks like a wasted opportunity. Surely they could have sneaked a HD in there rather than flash. Or is flash 'superior' for recording? Battery life looks crap too.

There already is a discussion here:
http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=27073.0

There is a hold button, flash is technically better since it has no moving parts, yet it is more expensive, and it'll record at 24/44.1 until it hits 2 gigs.

It's a step in the right direction, but still no digital in and it's limited to 24/44.1.

Compact Flash retails around $90 a gig stick, there are hard drives out there for compact flash, but all too fragile.

why 24/44.1 as the default?

looks too much like fisher price's "my first stealth recorder" just the non-day glow orange version

Klay posted some ridiculously low price over on DATHeads today, wonder if it was a typo or something.

24/44.1 for 2hours on 2GB aint too bad.  A pair of 2GB CF should cover a show, and it has Line In .
And it's little.

I'm currently liking the FR-2.

MSRP is $550, FWIW...I think a few people were salivating at $55. :)
