This was released very recently on September 22nd of this year..  I installed and used it to dump about 30 albums onto my JB3 before a road trip I had down to Delaware last weekend.

Creative NOMAD Explorer (Version 3.01.10)

Creative NOMAD Explorer enables you to conveniently manage your NOMAD player's music and data library with Microsoft® Windows® Explorer.

You can use Creative NOMAD Explorer to:

    * drag and drop songs and data files between your computer and NOMAD player
    * manage songs in your NOMAD player's music library
    * manage data files in your NOMAD player's data library
    * create and edit playlists on your NOMAD player
    * edit track properties in your NOMAD player's music library

After installing Creative NOMAD Explorer, you can find the NOMAD Explorer icon in Windows Explorer, under My Computer.

Requirements

    * Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium Edition or Windows 98 Second Edition
    * Creative NOMAD Jukebox 2, 3, Zen, Zen USB2.0, Zen NX, Zen Xtra or Zen Touch
    * For NOMAD Jukebox 3 users only, driver version 1.04.06 (JB3_Drv.exe, dated 27 Aug 2002, 935 928 bytes) or later installed on your computer

Wait a second, does this replace getting that installation disc (are these all the programs that come on the disc). I bought a Jb3 recently off Ebay (haven't gotten it yet) but it doesn't come with the disc, so I sent out a B+P to someone who had the disc. Anyway, can I just download these to replace what is on the disc or what?

nah, you have to have the disc to install the drivers and what-not onto your pc

i think all the drivers are on the creative website too, but having the disc is still handy.

does this software give you access to your recordings too?  I remember the creative file manager allowed you to store and access files but it was like recorded music got stored in a different way and wouldn't appear in the list of files thru file manager.

Your right, in the previous version of this file manager only allowed you to access the non-music stuff (really dumb IMHO)..  This version seems to fix that issue allowing you to access everything.

It's a shame it's not plug and play on any computer and you'd need these drivers to use it but it's still a nicer integration into windows then we've had before.

I tried updating this on my laptop. 4pin to 4 pin. I have the latest firmware installed but after installing this latest driver I get a 'not connected' message in Nomand Explorer.

any ideas? I reinstalled a couple of times with reboots and still nothing. bummer

also to note: (on my computer at least) when you transfer files with this program, it puts them in a temp drive on my c: drive and then never deletes them when the copying is complete.  so if you notice a huge chunk of your hdd space missing...thats probably where it is.  i went from 10gigs > 3gigs in like 10 mins and never even put anything on the drive, i was really confused for a bit.

same here. i didnt have a chance to mess with it, and got it to work fine with playcenter, i got the constant "not connected" message with this software

I'm scrambling to find my original JB3 installation disc. Anyway, after a couple more tries of installing the new software my screen goes to a full blue and white lettering waring mode and locks up. 

Oh well, I wanted something better but was happy with the play center. Don't need to fix something that isn't broke.

I wonder if some of the windows tweaks I did to optimize sound has something to do with my failure to intall NoMad Explorer.
