So, would I do a patch like this:

"hot" sbd > RCA > XLR > A15AS - Shure attenuators > XLR > RCA > ART DIO A/D(@44.1) > CO2 > NJB3

are there cables that go XLR > RCA??

Wow, I just saw this (http://www.microphonemadness.com/products/mmatatcab.htm) in another post, perhaps this would work best for what I need it for. Thanks again for the info Twatts!
