Kevin:
Anyone use this unit? wanted to know if you recomend it or not and likes and dislikes.
thanks in advance for the help

DaryanLenz:
The pro II is a sick unit, superior IMHO to the tascam.  The pro 1 I have not used, but I would assume it is close to the same.

i've got a d10proII.  these things are workhorses.  it's a big box with full size transports.  i don't know much about the difference between the pro and the proII.  if you're getting one, make sure you are getting all of the connectors, it uses a bunch of weird shit.  The dcp-88 is the adapter for allowing the battery bay to accept DC power.  Also, you need a special digital interface cable for AES usage, there is no spdif coax input, so you need the impedance adapter to bring your line level from 75 ohm to 110 ohm.  Not sure of the model number on that one.  but those are the two most important things that you have to have.

Kevin:
Preciate the help.  You know where to get a good deal on those cables?

dmonterisi:
those cables are pretty hard to come by.  especially the dcp-88, because it's not just a cable, there is a converter/transformer thingee that fits in the battery bay.  i think you pretty much gotta hope that whoever you're buying it from sells you the whole package.  that's how i got mine.
