Title: Digi UA5 mod with the plus mod and one of the (W) (T) or (P) mod's

thats a lot of mods...
Anyway, I did some searching and I found a lot of good threads on
this preamp alone and the various incarnations of it.
Is anyone running it with, for example the W-mod with a plus mod to it?
How does it sound? Does anyone see a reason to have the plus mod done to any of these?

I understand with the plus mod he is rebuilding the input and phantom power supply... *
I think I am going to get the wmod but may have the extra work done if I can hear differences.
I also like what I have read about the T mod so that is still open. I have not heard a T mod yet
so...
Now I won't be using the RCA inputs for much of anything I don't believe
so I am not overly concerned about that feature alone on the plus mod.
With the UA5 tweaked out from Oade, one is  pretty close if not right there to used V3's
as well as  with the AD1000 being offered recently.
So is anyone running one and is it worth it to get one or buy something used that is in the ballpark?

here is a link wher eyou can download a few comparisons'  These do not have the plus mod as far as i can tell...but it is the sp4 mic and the lsd2 mic with the wmod, tmod, and v3 so you can compare all 6 sources and see...takes about 20 min to download it all

edit:  I just noticed there is a wmod+ on there too..so thats 4 or 5 more sources to d/l and listen too...its with the MTSC-64

I run a t-mod plus UA-5

Several shows on archive or etree to sample.

I don't know how much was due to the mod itself, or the plus part since it was plus mod all at once, but the noise floor is much lower all around.

hey bud, no where near each other, a used v3 is about 1200, a new modded ua5 is about 550, you can get two modded ua5's for the price of a used v3, FWIW
