In my 2-channel listening room, I run a pair of McIntosh XRT-29's which are currently being tri-amped. With speakers that hungry they have really bloomed since tri-amping them. The only downside is the cost of running 3 different sets of speaker wires. That in itself damn near broke me! Good luck with the new setup.

I know you like, tape for people's approval and stuff, and wave your tapes around like they're your dick... but even you can't actually think section tapes from philips sound good.
Dude.. pull those speakers out from that corner! It kills me when I see (in my customer's homes and on Audiogon, etc.) these great high end systems with speakersstuffed into a corner and 6" from the walls. All those reflections will crush your imaging. Yea I know there is the "wife factor" but still if she let you spend 30K on a system she should at least let you set it up to make the most of it! Then again... I'm not married
