100 megabytes is more than enough
Download a program called Super:
http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html#DnloadYoutube recommends the following specs:
We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audioSet your video bitrate between 500 and 800 kbits/sec. Just expirement and see what quality you find acceptable.
To estimate how big your final video will be:
Inputs:
b = bitrate (in kbits per second) - be sure to include both audio and video
t = time (length of video in seconds)
Output:
s = size of final video (in Megabtyes)
s = (
t * (
b/8)) / 1024
So, if you've got a 7 minute video and you want to encode the video at 450 kbits/sec and audio at 64 kbits/sec then the size of the video will be: 26.3 Megabytes
Hopefully, those equations are correct
