nomad Jukebox help

I just got a nomad Jukebox off of ebay and I picked up a jukebox 2Lx. I want to know if I can use it or I need to get the jukebox3. One more thing is the hard drive in the jokebox the same as a laptop and if so can you put a biger hard drive in it.

1. You MUST have a JB3 to record.

2. I think there are instructions how to change the harddrive at http://nomadness.net/
