Title: Valence n-Charge for taping?
Post by: inthistube on April 25, 2003, 07:06:57 PM
Hey crew,

I'm looking for alternate ways to power my laptop (Apple iBook) other than internal batteries, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Valence n-Charge units?   If not, are there any other alternatives you would recommend?  The standard Apple batteries work fine for shows where you're guaranteed a setbreak, but for longer shows or festivals, swapping batteries might become and inconvenience.

A buddy of mine is trying his Valence out on Tuesday.  I'll be at the show as well and I'll post here and let you know how it goes.  He won't be running an iBook (some PC Brick Laptop), but it shouldn't make a difference.

I do know someone that runs their PowerBook off of an EcoCharge and seems to work fine...

Just saw this thread...and I'm wondering what kind of batteries/power sources have the little plug that fits in an iBook? I've only ever seen those on the power adapter that came with the laptop...or do you have to modify something to fit into the battery port? ???
