SBM-1 7-pin to coax mod instructions

<< < (2/2)

Todd R:
Someone just pointed this thread out to me.  Re-reading it makes me hope I didn't screw people up.  heh, heh.  :)

Now I'm not sure what Wayne was talking about in his original post.  In my original response, I was assuming Wayne was talking about altering the existing 7pin cable dongle to hack off the 7pin head and turn the cable dongle into a coax output.  If this is the case, then as I said, you should use the brown wire.

If Wayne was refering to  taking the 7pin cable assy out of the SBM1 and altering it to use as a 7pin>coax out assembly to be used out of the 7pin female port on the SBM1, then his original directions were right.  That is, if you remove the 7pin assembly out of the SBM1 and want to alter it to use as a 7pin>coax output to be used by connecting this new cable to the 7pin port on the back of the SBM1, you should use the red wire as Wayne originally suggested.

My apologies to Wayne and anyone else I might have screwed up. :-[ :)

Brian:  if you see this, could you modify the original post to make it clear as mud, er, uh, crystal clear?
