help converting 24/96 .flac files?
« on: July 08, 2010, 12:12:18 PM »
Hi all. I grabbed a show upped onto Dime recently, and needed to convert it from the 24/96 it's currently in to 16/44.1 in order to burn to cdr's. The problem i've run into though is that both Flac Frontend and TLH will not decode the .flac files into .wav files at all. Here's the error message TLH gives me:

cannot decode input file (file may have been created by a more advanced encoder).

The error code for Flac Frontend is similar in wording.

I have a message to the taper as to what he used, but until he replies, what could a more advanced encoder be? Any other software that decoded .flac files?

Thanks for any help.

It seems that grabbing the latest TLH is working just fine on this problem. I already have R8brain to convert the .wav files, so all is good again.
