Are Octava MKL2500 LD's any good?
« on: February 11, 2004, 12:09:43 AM »
Guitar Center has a deal on them.  They list them at $1000 each.  ::) but have them onsale for $199 each and they come with a MK319 Studio Condenser Mic free.
Ive been wanting to pick up a pair of LD's for a bit, but dont really know which ones are any good.
I'd pay $400 pair of Ld's if they are worth it.
Anyone have any info on them?
thanks
~Rhys

I don't know about the 2500's but the Lomo LD's http://sound-room.com/customer/product.php?productid=19&cat=3&page=1 are supposed to be great. I haven't heard anything done with them either, but I have been looking at these for awhile now, maybe with the tax return, hmmmmm ...

Sound room revamped their site too ...

ok first off, beware of anyone who lists at 1k and then sells for 200.  its kind of a sign- but all that said, they are a great mic.  people all over tend to love them, i dont know how they would fair in the live environment
