I'm hoping the experts here can help me solve my problem.
I have a Sony TCD-D100 that apparently is hungry for tapes :-(
I recorded Los Lobos tonight in Toronto and I just transferred the show to my HD and when I went to eject the tape, I discovered it had unwound inside, got wrapped up and snapped.
This isn't the first time the machine has chewed a tape but it's the first time it snapped it.
The first time it happened, I chalked it up to an improper load (if that's even possible). The way it happened last time was during a rewind, it started slow and didn't pick up like it normally does, it just kept going slow and when I stopped to see what was up, I discovered it was unwinding inside.
So, obviously something is not right and I need it to be! It's a friend's recorder and I can't return it in this condition.
1) could it be improper loading?
2) if not, I need to get it fixed, any ideas where to do so in the Toronto and surrounding area?
I have two more shows this weekend to record, cross your fingers for me :-/
