Is there any sort of adaptor or outboard piece of equipment where you can use a VX pocket with a laptop that does not have the PCMCIA slot?

what notebook?
I have the multiface pcmcia combo and I'm facing the same problem...
I am about to buy a new notebook.. Do you know the problem relating the ricoh
chipset that controls the express card?
It seems that only texas instruments chipsets work well
