Rockboxed iPod help
« on: March 11, 2010, 02:36:55 PM »
I rockboxed my 5th gen video ipod. It is supported. When I switch back to itunes I can't reboot to rockbox. Tried everything. Only way I can get back to RB is by reinstalling. So it seems I can either reinstall RB everytime or forget about itunes, which isn't a terrible thing. :P

have you always been able to use the two in conjunction with one another?
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

this is a new install. RB was working perfectly. i decided to try the switch back to original firmware per instructions which worked, but i couldn't get it to switch back to RB. after following the instructions to get back to RB, which didn't work, i decided to unistall and reinstall RB.

i'm now back to RB but to paranoid to try switching back to original firmware. like i said it's not a big deal. i pretty much wiped my ipod clean to free space. i only have a few purchased items left on it. always hated itunes anyway.
