Title: Energizer 9.6v 4000mAh NiMH battery for UA-5?
Post by: tradja on February 26, 2005, 11:12:17 PM
After having read dozens of UA-5 battery threads, I was wondering if something like the following would run a UA-5?  Has anyone seen or tried this thing?  They've been going in the mid-$20's on ebay.

Has anyone seen or tried this thing?

Ohboy! Good, 'cause I just bought one... ;)  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5754153233&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

I was wondering about the Energizer one as a backup or perhaps a noob could ambush a cheap one on ebay as a budget starter battery.

D'oh!  After a month or so, and no battery, the seller refunded my money.  They think FedEx lost it, but they don't seem to have a tracking number for it.  Oh well. I suppose it's time to start scouring ebay, espanding hte search to RC batts as well as DVD, for something that will work.

What are the considerations when looking at NiMH vs. LiON batteries?
