Hello all. Haven't been here for a while, but I was considering some new and different setups and am considering running AT853s (or comparable 3-wire mic) into a Naiant Tinybox (full power) and run that into any small recorder.
I've reached a tentative agreement with a retailer to wire the mic cables into the required TA6F mini-XLR connector, but he's surprisingly confused as to which wires would go to which pins - even after I showed him the "list schematic" from Naiant's website.
Each mic has a hot, neutral, and ground wire. So which wires (left and right channel) would go to pins 1-6?
Here's what I have so far:
pin 1: right ground (?)
pin 2: right noninverting input (hot/positive?)
pin 3: left noninverting input (hot/positive?)
pin 4: left ground (?)
pin 5: right inverting input (negative/neutral?)
pin 6: left inverting input (negative/neutral?)
Does that seem correct? I also realize there are probably people here that do these as re-wires but it'd be nice to save a step and have it done at the point of sale. Thanks!
