torrent troubles
« on: March 09, 2007, 07:21:28 PM »
maybe somebody can help.
over the last few days, my torrents/internet stop stop working.
theyre uploading fine, internet works fine...then i check back a few hours later, and the torrents arent uploading anything, and my internet doesnt connect. a simple re-start of the computer fixes it, but i want this thing to run for days, not hours.
any suggestions? any fixes?
thanks
~justin

what BT client? I personally would uninstall whatever i had and try and figure out utorrent. def worth your time IMO to configure :) and it has protocol encryption as well so your internet provider doesnt know youre d/l'ing torrents :)

hmmm, are your ports forwarded ??? I think last time I updated my port forwarding numbers were changed and i just had to change my port numbers on my linksys router to open them up, really simple actually if you read everything the port forwarding page tells you to do :)

your problem probably was updating utorrent.  stick with 1.6 NOT 1.6.1

see the thread "dime bt" or something like that and there is a sendspace link for 1.6
