« on: December 06, 2005, 12:19:22 PM »

1. Put a 1/8 jack on yourself
2. Send it to DPA to put microdots on for $150

contact Parker at sonicsense.com (sales@sonicsense.com), tell you I steered you to her, she will arrange for a vendor to do the conversion for you, whatever it may be, for substantially less than DPA, and don't do this project yourself, its one for a professional audio vendor, trust me, I own these mics and they are tiny and delicate

Just cut off the Lemo (what a waste, though), solder on whatever (1/8" jack?)  and build a battery box?

there has been much debate here, already, about non-professionals doing this soldering themselves; since the wire is apparently the diameter of a human hair or something like that, and since its not a typical solder, the consensus was that this is a professional repair job

leave the lemo's on, order some female lemo connectors and use them as the inputs for the battery box as they are much more secure and less prone to noise than 1/8" jacks

peace, chris

the last suggestion sounds pretty good. I think I have a local outfit that can do this, FYI Sonicsense says they can ship stuff off for a person, but they say it's more expensive that
way, they don't do that kind of work themselves (nice folks, though)

I'd do the work myself and chop the cable, so I could fix this part: Length of cable: One 65" other 72"

That would drive me nuts.

Did this with my box. Works great!
