Title: CD Polisher?

Does any one own or recomend a CD polisher? 

I am refering to the machines that blockbuster used to polish scratched CD's - they run in the $200-400 up to 2000-3000

I have a few CD's that need a polishing and the only local shop that is offering to do this charges $3 per disc

I use Meguiar's PlastX Plastic Polish with a small buffing wheel. It works really well.

Works on helmet eye-visors and convertible rear windows too!

Meguiars is high-quality stuff trusted for use on zillion-dollar collectible cars.

A bit of a PITA to polish a bunch of discs with a buffing wheel though, a machine would make it far easier.  If you do use a manual buffing wheel, use a true bench buffer.  If you need to use a hand drill to power the wheel, be sure to clamp the drill to a table instead of trying to hold it in-hand.

I remember a thread about this a few years back, but it was geared more towards those cheap cleaners (like under $40). Anyone have recommendations along those lines?

I have tried the toothpaste method and it provides very little results as well as being a complete PITA
