To get the extra crap (crowd etc.) out of the file, go to section you want cut. Click right before or right after the crap, and then right click and select the "select from cursor to beggining of file." This should highlight everything that you want to get rid of. Then select "delete" and get rid of it. Then, I usually save the file to avoid the bigg ass temp files that wavelab creates so that I can normalize etc. Hope this helps
TRacking wise, it is a pain in the ass. I believe you can set track marks, but since I use cdwave, why not use that? It supports 24 bit now!
