Title: Cheap way to mount camera to stand
Post by: super-phat-al on March 16, 2004, 11:13:19 PM
This weekend im gonna try and do some video and audio.  Is there a cheap way to attach my video camera to my stand?  Ive seen clamps but they look to be pretty expensive.  Anyway i can change some threads so itll fit?

clamp is gonna be your best bet, especially if you want to keep your stereo mounting with correct spacing.

if you have a bogen stand or another photo/light stand with a 1/4" 20 thread on it you won't need anything special - just put it at the top and clamp your t-bar on lower.

i've only had moderate success running my camera on top of my stand, though - there is no tilt capability.  i usually velcro a cheapie desktop tripod to my stand.

another option for you- might think about picking up a monopod for your cam- much easier to work with
