Title: [Audacity] Help joining multiple stereo files.
Post by: chinariderstl on July 21, 2014, 10:41:27 AM
Hi, my apologies if this has been covered, if so, please point me in the right direction.  I ran my Tascam DR-680 a couple months ago for the Ratdog show in St. Louis.  Apparently, the Tascam saves the recording to multiple 2GB stereo files instead of one large continuous file (like my Sony deck).  As such, I'm left with the following:

140310_104_st12.wav
140310_105_st12.wav
140310_106_st12.wav
140310_107_st12.wav

I have imported each stereo wav file into Audacity, but am not sure how to seamlessly and properly join them into one continuous file.  There doesn't seem to be an easy and straight-forward way to do this.  I am sure I am simply overlooking the obvious, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks, Chris.

drag/paste/move the files into the same work space, drag them up against each other, zoom in to where the scale is just a handful of seconds, make sure they touch, and then click once on the seam (it should seal up).

Nice, that worked beautifully!

Thanks! :)
