Title: Alignment jigs?
Post by: voltronic on December 24, 2022, 05:05:29 PM
I'm looking for two things that I can no longer find here:

1. A PDF with various common mic configs that looks like it was made by drafting software. I believe this was a very old post.

2. A mic company I cannot remember that makes knockoffs of Schoeps made an alignment tool of mic configs etched onto lucite or similar.

Thanks!

One older document with stereo mic drawings is the AES paper by Streicher and Dooley; Basic Stereo Microphone Perspectives - a Review; JAES Vol 33, No 7/8, 1985 July/August.

It turns out the doc I was looking for was already on my computer from years ago (first attachment). For me, this is easier to use than the b9audio ruler because I am using only end-address pencil mics with bodies.

I also found a template doc for ORTF alone.
