they'll be closing out a big part of the audio market.  but, the interfaces and operating systems already work well together, as the press release says:

"Windows users can obtain the Apogee sound by connecting Apogee converters to their Windows-compatible audio interface via AES, optical, or S/PDIF. Apogee technical support will continue to support legacy Windows configurations installed on Windows XP Service Pack 2."

There's probably frustration with the MS protection schemes built into vista... I'm still using XP Pro on all my systems.  Only have vista on a toshiba laptop, but I don't like it at all.  I'll probably install XP pro soon.

I wish I could stop developing for windows.  ::)

Write it for Unix and it's good for eternity.  Write it for windows, and re-write it every few years.
