Soud Forge 9.0 - tracking, FLAC and errors
« on: April 25, 2009, 10:11:44 PM »
I've just upgraded to SF9.0e. I'm trying to simplify the post process and would like to try and use only one program for conversion, instead of three. I have learned how to track out a recording using the markers/regions method.

Is there anyway to set some sort of auto-naming function that will export the regions (tracks) with file names along the standard we use (i.e. bandYYYY-MM-DDt##)?

Is there any way to export these regions (tracks) directly to FLAC format?

Also...I have successfully split a 16 bit file using SF9.0 and the concerted to FLAC (level 8) using FLAC Frontend. However, when doing this same process with a 24 bit file I end up with FLAC files that cause playback errors while their WAV counterparts play fine. Is this a SF issue or a FLAC Frontend issue?

Thanks for any help that you all can give!
