Mic cables for Nak 300s?
« on: June 17, 2009, 01:34:44 PM »
Any recommendations?  Balanced or un-balanced?  13-15 foot would work. And how do I feed them into a card recorder than only has mini-jack inputs?  With a splitter?

The Nakamichi CM-300 came as standard with an balancing output transformer. If you are feeding a balanced input, you should run a twisted pair with screen, a standard mic cable. If you are feeding a non-balanced input you can bypass the transformer (and get about 10dB more output) and use a coaxial cable. If the recorder have just one mini-jack input, you will need a splitter.
