SBM-1 Question
« on: February 18, 2003, 10:34:52 PM »
I rcently aquried an SBM-1 and have some operating questions.  I run AT933s (sound pros) into the battery boa then an 1/8in mini.  Now my question is can I use the line in option woth the mini or do I have to go into the RCAs on the side of the unit?  Thanks.

-the 1/8" and 1/4"s are Mic inputs.
-the RCAs are Line imputs.

you'll need an 1/8" mini-> 2xRCA 'Y' cable to make your connection.

so what function does the "mic/line in" switch serve?

It has to do with the level being fed... Mic level is way lower than line level (I forgget the exact db).  If you are going mics > sbm1 then you are feeding at line level.  Pre > sbm1 then you are at line level.
